We cultivate about 20 hectares of vineyards in the estates of Ca’ Roina and Mondragon, just a short distance from the city of Lazise, in the heart of the Classical Bardolino DOC wine district.
The varieties of grapes, mostly red, are native: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. Then there are the vineyards where we grow Merlot and Cabernet and white Garganega, Cortese, Castelli Romani and Trebbiano grapes. These are new vineyards that use the pergola and Guyot training methods, which have good exposure and a stupendous view of the lake.
We have 600 old olive trees, which are extremely beautiful, of the varieties typical of Lake Garda (Leccino, Grignano, Pendolino and Casaliva). We produce a very particular, fruity and light extra virgin olive oil, with low acidity, which has obtained the Protected Designation of Origin (Garda DOP), a prestigious recognition that protects the quality and territory of Lake Garda.
It is a choice raw oil on greens, fish and meats.
The vinification Winery is in Ca' Roina in a state-of-the-art structure, equipped with various types of equipment for processing grapes and wine and with a great many storage tanks, strictly made of stainless steel.
There are also both large and small wooden casks, to refine the most highly structured wines. Marco Ruffato is the oenologist: he is creative and capable and cares for his wines, always seeking for the utmost quality, first in the vineyard and then in the winery.
